Once upon a time, in a small farm town. A boy, by the name of Owen, was born. As first- time parents, his mother and father were very anxious to meet their first child. Having never been thorough labor before, this was an entirely new (and horribly complicated) process. Owen, true to his form, was coming in his own time, in his own way. His mother had just signed off to have an emergency C-section when all of a sudden....WOOOSH. Owen was on his way! Of course, it was at this exact moment his father had the suddenly and urgently feeling to use the restroom. Time was limited, but when you have to go, you have to go. In a rush to get back quickly. Against his wife's advice, Owen's father just SO HAPPENED to look to the SOUTH as he walked past his wife... and that's when he saw for the very first time... his son's luscious crown of golden curly locks. The very first time a soul laid eyes on him it was known, this boy's hair would be legendary. In the days that follow at the hospital, onlookers would say over and over how amazing his hair was. And truly it was amazing. Only hours old, and already adorned with a luscious head of golden curls. Everyone would always say, "He's going to lose it..." But Owen is NOT the losing type. His hair continued to grow and become stronger than ever. (Just like Owen). Soon his hair became his signature. We knew that our responsibility as parents was to wait for the exact right time to shape and mould his hair into the glorious mullet that it is today. Like any young viking warrior child, Owen was a rough and tumble boy. His long hair would often be coated in debris from the day, sometimes even blood from the occasional busted lip during the "learning to walk" phase. We knew the time was right. Just before his 2nd birthday we took Owen in for his first hair-cut and so began the generation of The Unit. Now days you can see The Unit running around in the wild, chasing tiny dogs, splashing in pools, moving and grooving to his favorite tunes, and maybe even head-banging to the heavy metal classics. Owen is all business when it comes to knowing what he wants. And he's all party once he has it.
