Being born in 87 my mullet journey started when I was a kid. As I grew older my hairstyle changed with the times. I’ve done almost every hairstyle you can think of over these last 3 decades. From the comb over, to the slick back, to the mushroom, to the short fade, to the spikey fade, to being buzzed/bald in the AZ summers, to the blow out taper fade of the early 2000s and growing out long hair.
I was growing out my hair again and I got annoyed in that awkward stage. You know the one. Where you can’t do anything with your hair. I almost cut it all off until I saw my youngest son Giovanni’s mullet in all its glory last summer. (The Majestic Guacamullet. Kids 0-4. Go take a gander.) So I decided to join him and set out on my own mullet journey again. These curls don’t play around. AZ may not have much water but I’m hoping my Desert Waves can make a splash in this competition!
