From the day Ezekiel Powers was born, he was destined to have a legendary mane of golden brown, long curly locks!
A few months after his birth on November 9th, 2021, his mother trimmed the front of his hair that slowly started creeping over his eyes down toward the bottom of his nose. As she slowly trimmed with gentle care so that her baby boy could see clearly, she went to snip the hair that was growing past his shirt collar to give him a typical boy haircut. As she reached the scissors toward the back of his head, she was suddenly stopped by a mysterious and unnamed force that kept her from snipping the back of his hair. Some would call this force nostalgia; this is the hair that Ezekiel was born with, the hair that he entered this world with, literally came out of the womb with, and once it was cut, it could never be returned to his beautiful baby head. But it wasn't just that, it was something more...
Month, after month, after month, the back of Ezekiel's hair began to grow and grow. As his hair grew, it became a beautiful tapestry of curls and waves far beyond his parent's wildest expectations! Months then turned to years... and after 2 years, 7 months, 3 weeks, and 7 days (give or take) the back of his head has NOT BEEN TOUCHED! Throughout his life, Ezekiel's parents struggled and desperately searched for a sign; a reason, a purpose as to why they've decided to "Maintain the Mane".
Enter boldly and dramatically; a mysterious and unexpected parade through the streets of Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, as the residents came out in droves and cheered on a new local hero; Kamden "The Kammander" Cunningham; a 5-year-old national third-place contestant at last year's Mullet Championship!
After meeting this local hero and learning about the wonderful things "The Kammander" has done for his local community, the mullet community, and organizations such as "Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warrior", it has awakened in the Powers family the determination to give our children the freedom to keep their business in the font, and their PARTY in the back!
Ezekiel is looking forward to leaving his legacy in the "mullet" movement; making fun memories and great friends, and perhaps changing some lives for the better!
